Dear Parents,
With your help, Saints Peter and Paul First graders would like to participate in a ministry that brings love, hope and joy to millions of children around the world who suffer from war, poverty, disease and natural disaster.
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan¡¦s Purse, an international Christian relief organization headed by Franklin Graham that collects gift-filled shoe boxes and delivers them to children living in desperate situations around the world. Samaritan¡¦s Purse adopted Operation Christmas Child in 1993 and has collected and distributed over 100 million shoe box gifts for needy children in more than 130 countries and territories on six continents. Just to give you an idea of what the needs are, India alone has more than 385 million children between the ages of 2-14 years old, the majority of whom are living in poverty. Even though the needs far outweigh the supply, we can still make a difference in the lives of millions of children.
As one of our Stewardship projects we are participating in this worthwhile ministry. Please follow the guidelines in the brochure as it has all the needed information. If you need a box please let us know as we have a limited number of extra boxes. If you choose to wrap or decorate the shoe box be sure it is not wrapped closed because every shoe box is inspected before shipping. If possible, include a $7.00 donation to help cover the cost of shipping.
Collection days will be November 16-18th. Thank you for your support.

BOX TOPS – Our goal this year for 2016-2017 is $1000.00, this is actual cash money that comes to the school. Every box top is worth $.10, which I know that does not seem like a lot but if every kid brought in 10 or 25 box tops that does add up.
We are going to collect Box Tops a few ways this year
1) Your child can turn them in to their teacher or give them to the office.
2) Drop them off at the office or in a Box Tops Drop Box.
The first deadline is November 1st. So bring in all the saved Tops from this summer and keep in mind all the products you have in your cabinets with Box Tops.

MOOOLA FOR MILK CAPS – All you have to do is send in all your milk caps from milk products that are delivered through your home delivery service with Longmont Dairy.
Pretty easy and you don’t have to bother anyone unless you want their milk caps. Each cap is worth $.05 cash money.
